Event Notes
Don’t miss this fabulous celebration of Caribbean-American arts and culture starring ‘Reggae Ambassadors’ Third World, one of the most-respected and influential Reggae bands of all time, and one of Jamaica’s most consistently popular crossover acts. Mixing elements of R&B, funk, pop, rock, dancehall and rap, Third World’s style has been described as “reggae-fusion.” With a catalogue of charted smash hits (including “Now That We Found Love,” “96 Degrees in the Shade,” and “Try Jah Love”), Third World’s monumental career spans over four decades and includes sold-out tours and over 25 live and studio albums.
Opening the night with his cool Caribbean style is Anguilla native Omari Banks, described by the New York Times as a cross between Bob Marley and Bob Dylan.
